Mission Bay has said yes to everything San Francisco has asked of it.

High-density housing. Three professional sports teams. A world-class healthcare campus. Cutting-edge biotech and tech innovation industries. Mission Bay proudly welcomed it all — and continues to grow and lead San Francisco’s economic recovery.

But our streets were designed for commuters from the 1990s, not for the people who live here today. Our streets are fatally dangerous.  Two kids in the last three years have died in Mission Bay, hit by cars while crossing the street.  

That has to stop.

We are the people of Mission Bay — the families who live here, the workers who spend their days here, the neighbors who make this place home.  We are coming together from all corners to advocate for what our neighborhood deserves: streets designed with our safety at the center — not as an afterthought.

Whether you're heading to school, work, the park, the game, or just meeting up with a friend, you should get there safely. That's not a big ask. It's the minimum.

We are making progress in a few targeted areas.  And, we know we have more to do.  Let’s go!
